Aruba is known for being One Happy Island. With a devastating year of travel, Aruba’s positive attitude and focus towards creating solutions for a safe and healthy environment for its people and guests was outstanding.

Traveling during a pandemic can portray an “unwelcoming” narrative if not executed properly. We recognized highlighting the new safety and health protocols of travel would be a necessary part of our content strategy.

We took the signature Romantic Getaway experience where we captured and shared stories in real time that travelers could follow on Boardwalk Hotel Aruba and our social media platforms, while also demonstrating the care and attention Aruba had in place in respect for peoples Health & Safety.

In 5 days, we spoke to local tour operators, hotel owners, and restauranteurs and highlighted how the island of Aruba misses tourism. We also highlighted the key features of the hotel. Onsite dining, health and wellness and Casitas that are a home away from home.

Using different social media platforms to tell different stories not only gave us flexibility to promote Aruba but also the ability to engage in the moment and capture authentic activities as they unfolded on the ground, air and in the water!

Most importantly, through creative video content and adventurous storytelling we educated, entertained and changed the perception traveling during a pandemic.
