The Carnival Triumph is undergoing a $200 million complete Dry Dock Make Over in March 2019 and will come out as a BRAND New ship named the Carnival Sunrise! AKA, you won’t even recognize her! Gus Antorcha, Carnival’s chief operating officer, who is in charge of Carnival Sunrise's redesign and many other ships in the fleet states: “Carnival’s investments are part of an overall plan that is raising the bar on ship amenities and features, itineraries and offshore excursions that our guests are loving.” How exciting that Carnival continues to listen to its customers and constantly makes changes for the better!

After the renaming ceremony, she will sail from NORFOLK, VA at the end of April (5-7 day voyages) 4-14 days out of NY starting the end of May and then will reposition herself to Ft. Lauderdale in October.

Four-day long weekend cruises will call at tropical ports like Half Moon Cay, Princess Cays, Grand Turk and Nassau, while five-day cruises will visit Cuba, as well as seaside destinations in The Bahamas, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Grand Turk.

We haven’t sailed on the Triumph, but all of these upgrades make us want to check it out when she comes to Ft. Lauderdale!
